Cuomo: Ted Cruz Offended All NYers with Debate Remarks

“Actually it’s a good thing”. I think it’s sad.

Cruz doesn’t think much of New York’s media, either: He boasted during the debate of his poor relationship with the New York Times, after the paper caught him failing to disclose a $1 million loan from his wife’s employer, Goldman Sachs.

I thought Marco won that segment hands down.

“Despite the ever present danger and warnings of further attacks, like the people of London did in the 1940s and the people of Israel for their entire history, New Yorkers are telling our enemies that they can not break our spirit”, Giuliani declared, or “our steadfast belief that the morality of our cause and the objective of our America will prevail”. Trump said during Thursday night’s debate.

Ah, but there was Brooklyn-born moderator Maria Bartiromo at Thursday’s debate in SC, telling Cruz she didn’t know what he meant. I may have thought Trump had an off night-his attempt to smear Ted Cruz with a “birther” theory was embarrassing-but his supporters are undaunted.

“I apologize to the millions of New Yorkers who have been abandoned for years by liberal politicians”.

TIMOTHY A. CLARY/AFP/Getty Images Even de Blasio couldn’t believe it, but he was on the same page as Donald Trump when it came to Cruz’s comments. He said the mayor “stands with the looters and criminals rather than the fearless men and women in blue”.

New Yorkers have taken aim at Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz, who spoke disparagingly of “New York values” at a debate this week.

“You had people like Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz, and other Republicans saying Obama was born in Kenya”, Schwartz said.

“I apologize to all the small businesses that are fleeing New York City because of the crushing taxes and regulations that are making it impossible to survive. I don’t”, Bartiromo said. Pressed on the point, Mr. Cruz then rang the Iowa conservative bells of “socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay-marriage, focus around money and the media”. The Texan was asked about his “New York values” gibe, and he said with nearly a sneer that “you know, I think most people know exactly what NY values are”.

Trump has made Cruz’s birthplace an issue throughout the campaign as he was born in Calgary.
