Curry did not take part in the morning shootaround Monday, getting treatment instead, and his status will be determined before the game.

“There’s a smaller margin for error”, coach Steve Kerr said of the Warriors playing without their superstar point guard. “Obviously they’re a good team, but we can improve so much more and that’s what we we’re excited about and we’re definitely excited about [Monday’s] game”.

Golden State won two of the three games without Curry this season, falling to the Dallas Mavericks on December 30 (114-91), downing the Rockets in the December 31 meeting and beating the Atlanta Hawks on March 1 (109-105).

“I’m preparing as if he’s not going to play because you don’t want to be surprised at a game-time decision”, teammate Klay Thompson said earlier Monday. After trying to return in the second half, Curry was kept on the bench for the rest of the game and has been listed as questionable since. He played solid minutes in Curry’s absence and the Warriors really settle in around him. He’s got a lot of basketball ahead of him.

Curry landed awkwardly shortly before halftime Saturday.

The Rockets’ offense didn’t stand a chance against Golden State the way it played in Saturday’s 104-78 loss.

“I think we averaged like one or two passes before we shot the ball last game”, Howard said. “And we will be prepared or we should be prepared if he’s not available”, said Warriors Andre Iguodala.

So the NBA’s network partners are just tickled pink and they know as long as the Warriors remain in the postseason, they’ll be a huge draw for fans wanting to see if they can repeat as NBA Champions and set history once again in 2016.
