Curry is taking the National Basketball Association by storm

They were outscored 72-27 over the second and third quarters, after taking a 22-21 lead in the first quarter. The Warriors simply placed another level of dominance into Webster’s dictionary with a 119-69 win.

The Warriors are 3-0, winning by nearly 17 points per game as they return home to face Memphis on Monday night for a fourth straight game against a 2014-15 playoff team. In the first four games of that season, Abdul-Jabber was averaging 26.3 points per game, more than 10 less than Curry this season.

However, his best was kept for the Warriors’ visit to New Orleans where Curry finished with 53 points – one point shy of his career-high.

Newcomer LaMarcus Aldridge has started to hit his stride, putting up 24 points and 14 rebounds in Sunday’s win over the Boston Celtics. The ailing coach plans to make the Warriors’ upcoming two-game road trip, but one source said it could be several more weeks before he returns to the bench. He’s shooting 59.5 percent from the field, including 48.8 percent beyond the three-point line, and 96.4 percent from the free-throw line. A team that prides itself on defense couldn’t even hold the Warriors to under 100 points. If the Cavs are healthy in June they could rectify last year’s defeat. Even though we were a top defensive team all year long. We might be able to get 70.

“We played together on the Worlds”, he said. The Warriors could well find themselves in a similar position to the one they were in last season, with the conference locked up and plenty of time to spare. “Big picture, I knew if we started off slow it wasn’t the end of the world”. “We were beating teams by 30 every night, it felt like”. I’m certainly not saying Randolph has outlived his usefulness-I think he’s mostly just out of shape-but we knew the day would come where his age would impact his defense, and it looks like that day might be here. “It’s exciting to win by that much”.

FIBA’s columnists write on a wide range of topics relating to basketball that are of interest to them. These aren’t those Kings, but this is clearly a better Warriors squad as well. The third quarter was a similar story.

The game started 30 minutes late due to the pregame memorial service for Saunders, the president of basketball operations, coach and minority owner who died after complications with Hodgkin lymphoma.

“They’re playing good and we’re playing good”, he said. But the youthful, tough and exuberant Warriors showed them a different animal Monday night.

The Warriors won the championship in spite of Curry’s unwillingness to hog the ball, but if his team really wants to win, say, 70 games this season, as Thompson recently posited they have a chance to do, Curry’s going to need to hoist way more often than he has in the past. Harrison Barnes is likely the most physically gifted Warrior but isn’t exactly a leap-out-the-gym guy.

No typo. No mistake.

“He’s getting to the hole a lot better”, Draymond Green said.

Oracle Arena was half empty with five minutes left in the game, and more fans leaving in droves, likely bored with the game being decided shortly after halftime. He was coming off a 53-point performance in the win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, in which he scored 28 points (This time he settled for just 21 in the thi) in the third quarter alone.
