‘Cursed Child’ is last of Harry Potter franchise, says Rowling

Mages and muggles rubbed shoulders yesterday in the hopes of being the first to delve into J. K. Rowling’s latest magical offering.

The play premiered in London last night and now script-book sales are through the roof. “It happens in different times so it’s very helpful if you know all the other books and characters quite well”. “I have been a Harry Potter fan since I read the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, when I was 11”.

So maybe, just maybe, she’ll have more ideas for a different character in the “Harry Potter” universe, or a different medium or platform in the future and then maybe she’ll re-open the door to the universe once again.

This doesn’t rule out more books in the “Harry Potter” universe. “I started reading the series a year ago”, said Preyankka.

“I pre-ordered the book a month ago”. It features a grown-up Potter as an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic and father of three children who is grappling with his past. Instead, the new story is the script of a stage production now running in London. Everyone in the factory knows about Harry Potter and keeping it confidential till the release was a huge task, especially in this age when social media so active.

So on the ball are Potterheads that tickets to the play-which focuses on the adventures of Harry’s son Albus Potter and his surprising best friend, Scorpius Malfoy, son of Harry’s schoolboy enemy, Draco Malfoy-have sold out until May 2017.

The play has been in previews at the theater for nearly eight weeks, but few details of the plot have leaked (though those seeking spoilers online will find them).

“No, no”, Rowling told Reuters at the show’s West End debut, upon being asked if The Cursed Child would usher in a new era of Harry Potter stories.
