He will go to bed early on Saturday and set his alarm for just before midnight so he is ready when the book becomes available. The late-night deliveries will be made possible by Amazon’s Flex programme.
The script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is published this weekend. “Everyone gets to open up their boxes at the same time and put them on sale at the same time”.
“The Official Script Book of the Original West End Production” will be released worldwide on July 31-Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling’s birthday. Lead-up activities include a scavenger hunt and face painting beginning at 2 p.m., and a party beginning at 9 p.m. with a costume contest, a Harry Potter trivia competition and a Sorting Hat.
The stellar London launch and the massive global following for Rowling’s stories are clear signs that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is shaping up to be the next worldwide stage blockbuster.
Potterheads – those enrapt and obsessed with all things Harry Potter-related – have been waiting a long time. The party will feature a special “Muggle Wall”, giveaways and wizard themed activities. The ad for the party had a slogan that said “Join us on the birthday of The Boy Who Lived to celebrate the release of the eighth Harry Potter story!” as reported by NOLA.
The two-part play – which is set 19 years after J.K. Rowling’s books and spin-off movies – has its official opening in London’s West End on Saturday (07.30.16) and producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender are working on plans to stage the show in NY.
With over 100,000 copies preordered, Waterstones’ buying Director Kate SKipper told The Guardian, this is expected to be “the biggest launch since Harry Potter seven”.
This 10-year-old speed-reading prodigy may have more reason to be excited by the new Harry Potter story than most fans.
And Harry’s lightning bolt scar is aching for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century.
Pick up a copy of the new book and enjoy some cupcakes.
