Curtis re-creates famous ‘Psycho’ scene
The same could certainly for Jamie Lee. Curtis paid homage to her mother’s famous shower scene from Psycho in an upcoming episode of the Fox series Scream Queens and took a photo to commemorate the moment. Almost 55 years later, her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis recreated the famous scene for an upcoming episode of Ryan Murphy’s new show “Scream Queen”. Her mother Janet Leigh starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller and became known for the iconic shower scene in which she’s attacked by an unseen assailant. Heres why. My entire life I have refused to step into the shower because it belongs to my mother. However, when genre fave Jamie Lee Curtis agreed to join the cast of the series, the collective eyebrow raise was joined with a nod of approval. She went on to tell Variety that her one rule for Murphy and Falchuk (who wrote the episode in question) was that they go the whole nine yards and recreate it as accurately as possible. “I have attempted to step out of the shadow of my parents for a long time”.

And though she didn’t have a large amount of screen time there, she cemented her status as one of cinema’s most iconic scream queens.
She returned to the movie franchise to reprise her role, not once or twice, but three times (but let’s forget about Halloween: Resurrection, shall we?). The dark comedy booked several big names as guest stars including Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
