A customer left horrified when he found a cockroach in his salad while having lunch at Jinsha Era Plaza hotel restaurant in the western city of Chengdu, and when he complaint about it to the waitresses, she calmly ate the bug and said “this is common in all present restaurant”.

According to the report, the 43 year old customer, Zhang Yen, asked the waitresses, Jin Kuo, about the bug in his lunch, she just picked it up from the plate and ate it and said the problem solved.
She said “No matter which restaurant you go to, you will always find cockroaches in the food. It is very normal”.
After she ate the bug, Mr. Zhang had nothing more to say. He paid his bill and left.
However, later the restaurant apologized for the behavior of their staff.
