Cuttack crowd trouble condemned by former India captains

Run-outs have been a cause of concern for India in the ongoing T20I cricket series and South African batsman David Miller today said they’re looking forward to more such dismissals with a smaller boundary at Eden Gardens.

“Not an ideal scene for players n fans at #cuttack, When 2 teams play, one wins n other loses, Support the sport, country automatically wins”, shared Mohammad Kaif on twitter.

For example, the team composition needs to be looked at, the pace bowling department needs attention, the openers need to fire in the Power Play overs, and the right man for No. 7 needs to be found. India, who had lost Shikhar Dhawan (11) in the fourth over, suffered more irreparable damage when Imran Tahir removed Suresh Raina (22) and Harbhajan Singh (0) off successive deliveries. “Tonight they were exceptional”, du Plessis said after the game.

“We have lost the series but we still have a lot to play for in the final game”. We came here with a lot of expectations to do well. “He won’t be watching the game but I am sure he will be blessing us from somewhere above”, said Harbhajan Singh.

“I personally feel that I used too much brain in this format”. “It’s probably the best bowling performance I reckon we’ve had as a T20 team. It was a great performance from our bowlers, we kept it consistent even after six overs”.

Rohit Sharma, the centurion from the last match at Dharamsala, and India’s test captain Virat Kohli were run out to a few brilliant ground fielding by South Africa which compounded the hosts’ batting woes. “We might have lost the series but I treat it as a good exposure in the build up of the World Cup”, Shastri told media persons here. Keeping that in mind Harbhajan wants to bid adieu to worldwide cricket by playing his last Test at the Eden Gardens.

“Spinners will have a major role to play in the T20 World Cup, the pitches here are slow and they will be successful”.

South Africa, who invited India to bat first on winning the toss, dismissed India for only 92 off 17.2 overs.

“This is exactly the start we needed for our first Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela icon tour and this T20 series win positions us well for the upcoming ODI and Test matches”, commented CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat. T20 is all about taking wickets rather than just restricting the batsmen.
