During today’s animated presentation at D23 (according to journalists on Twitter, it’s been going on for approximately 100 hours), the studio revealed new details on the musical Moana (with a surprise appearance from Dwayne Johnson), announced their “definitive” Jack and the Beanstalk movie big, and presented an extended look at Zootopia.

Shakira performs an all-new original song, “Try Everything“, for the film.
The “Hips don’t lie” hitmaker will be giving her voiceover for Gazelle, a pop star of a town of animals where they talk and live like humans. It’s like it was made for Shakira! Shakira’s “Zootopia” character seems incredibly fitting; she will portray a gazelle named…. The film is set to also feature the vocal talents of Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) as Judy Hopps, the police furball, and Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde (Arrested Development), the featured fox.
Howard, who last worked on “Tangled” and “Bolt” for the studio, will direct the film along with Moore of “Wreck-It Ralph” and “The Simpsons”.
Fans at Disney’s D23 convention got a view of the sultry character introduced via a taped message from Shakira and heard portions of her song from the film “Try Everything“. Shakira has also served as a judge on the singing-competition reality series The Voice.

Zootopia will open in theaters on March 4, 2016.
