Devon Fowler initially told his 12-year-old son, Breheim, that he wasn’t getting anything for his birthday, according to NBC10. In the video the boy is seen looking upset as he gets into the auto with his father. But when Devon told his son to get a box from the back, the birthday boy’s expression went from upset to overwhelmed.
The video begins with the gloomy boy walking towards the passenger’s seat of his father’s vehicle in a parking lot, as his dad asks whether he is still upset with him for forgetting his birthday.
The boy immediately sees an Amazon box.
The bat is the exact one he wanted for his birthday, Pix 11 reported.
‘Don’t cry! You’re about to make me cry!’ the dad says to his son.
Devon Fowler recorded the entire interaction with his son and posted the video on Facebook.
“Just gave my son his present before we went to the game”, Fowler wrote.
Emotional: The boy is so touched by the moment that he starts to cry.
A copy of the video shared on Twitter has been retweeted over 9,000 times. “I told him I had nothing for him”, Fowler said, and as a result, “he had an attitude all day”.
“Just keep trying to make your kid happy”, he said.
