As the Des Moines Register reported, Kaufmann’s group shut Noah’s show out of the Growth and Opportunity Party over the weekend, saying that he was afraid the program would ridicule Iowa itself.

Prior to his Daily Show gig, the comedian hosted the late-night talk show Tonight with Trevor Noah in South Africa.

Noah took over “The Daily Show” from Jon Stewart in September.
“Oh yeah, that’s right, nobody filed shit”, the host quipped, “because, for real, the Iowa state Republican Party specifically denied The Daily Show access to their event last week”.
Naturally, despite them not being in attendance, they were still able to make fun of Iowa.
“Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy early this morning”.
