Dairy Queen® to support Children’s Miracle Network

The 11 Annual Miracle Treat Day raises funds to support Kentucky Children’s Hospital, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network.

In 2015 Dairy Queens in Central and Northern Jersey raised $46,586 for hospitals Children’s Specialized Hospital. Katelyn Pawlowski, Miss Harris County, Caroline Rozycki, Miss Presidential Pathways, and KeLeigh Edwards, Miss Phenix City as well as Boomer of the Columbus Cottonmouths will be serving up Blizzards at the Macon Road location from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Each pediatric patient will receive a free ice cream treat, and “Blizzards” will be sold in the hospital cafe.

The Children’s Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center was established in 1995. More than $100 million has been raised through donations from DQ franchisees, fans and the corporate office.

Olson says CMN also helps families by giving money directly to them in the form of meal vouchers, hotel stays when they travel to and from the hospital several times a week, CMN helps with mileage.

According to Children’s Miracle Network, 62 children enter one of their hospitals each minute and one in 10 children get treated by their hospitals every year.
