Daisy Ridley cried after seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Abrams reached out to him later-and Miranda said he’d “drop everything” for it. “We’ve never discussed this before, and [Miranda] might kill me for revealing this”, Abrams said. Much of this excitement stems from the fact that China only recently allowed for the films to be screened in public theaters.

With just over a fortnight until The Force Awakens eventually hits cinemas, Star Wars creator George Lucas has spoken of his mixed feelings about seeing the new movie, comparing himself to a divorced father at his child’s wedding.

He said: “I thought it was a great idea and I wanted to know a little bit more about Han Solo 30 years later”.

“All I know is John Boyega does an extraordinary job in the movie”, Abrams said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Monday. “I’m just going to plod through life and see what comes my way”.

Lucas, who sold the franchise to Disney three years ago for some $4 billion, told the Washington Post in an interview he had no connection with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, which opens worldwide on Dec 18. The first spinoff Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (December 16, 2016) and Star Wars: Episode VIII (May 26, 2017) are both now in production.

Lucasfilm has begun its search for a young Han Solo. “I’d done a Mission: Impossible movie; I’d done Star Trek”.

Ridley has seen “The Force Awakens” and explained the really sweet way she kind of freaked out right after. Unfortunately, if you’re not a Verizon customer, you won’t be able to get your hands on one of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens Carboard sets.

J.J. Abrams purposely sought out relative unknowns for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” but that doesn’t appear to be a prerequisite for everyone’s favorite intergalactic smuggler.
