As Disney reboots the much-loved “Star Wars” franchise with “The Force Awakens” this week, the absence of Luke Skywalker from the film’s marketing has been the subject of much speculation – and for good reason. (Reviews were embargoed until 3:01 a.m. today.) I have written a longer version, with some revisions and more about the plot, which you can find here.
