Terrance Williams of the Dallas Cowboys carries the ball against Kelvin Sheppard and Janoris Jenkins of the New York Giants on the last play of the game at AT&T Stadium on September 11, 2016 in Arlington, Texas.

He just didn’t do it. He should have caught that touchdown pass.

Williams said he was aware of the time and the situation, but he thought he could make a move, pick up a few more yards and then get out of bounds.

And then, time ran out on the Cowboys. The Giants defense will have to play better than it did against Prescott, who flashed he had the goods last week against a weak defensive middle. I can not recall any passing game that went down the field, most passes were check downs to Tight-end Jason Witten or a running back circle out of the backfield. Breaking the huddle it was already third-and-13 [sic].

With just 1:12 left to play, McAdoo had to decide whether to go for the first down or punt the ball away, with risks either way. I was clearly aware of the time. Janoris Jenkins and the over rated Giants’ secondary denied Dez Bryant of a chance to put the Cowboys at 1-0 heading to Washington for another key NFC East game. His head dropped and he stared at the ground for several seconds.

Part of the problem was Prescott’s inability to get on the same page with receiver Dez Bryant, who was a favored target in the preseason.

“We had Jackrabbit travel with him”.

“This is not the same team as previous year, and I think we showed that today”.

“The coaches are still with me”.

Casillas said the Giants did nothing right in the loss to the Saints in New Orleans last season. “You just couldn’t make up a story any better than that”. “I need to make them”. “It was one of those games you look back and you just don’t watch the film because you are disgusted by it”. “Looking back, I’ll never do that again”.

Outside of the offensive line play, which was below its normal level, the Cowboys’ rushing attack faltered simply because the Giants made it their top priority to stop the run.

“It’s too early”, linebacker Sean Lee said in the locker room after Sunday’s game.

The Cowboys didn’t lose because of that one play. Prescott was 25 of 45 for 227 yards.

“Especially when you take into consideration Jackson State, Alcorn all the different universities”, said Marcus Jenkins, a Cowboys fan. I’m used to people blaming me anyway. “I haven’t been here through all he’s been through like Odell [Beckham Jr.] and some of these other guys, but I feel for him. So it doesn’t remind me of past year as far as our ability to be a real good offensive team”.

“So I can’t keep paying attention to what people say because they’re going to talk about me regardless”.
