Services for Dallas police officers Patrick Zamarripa and Michael Krol are pending. Twenty-one officers were injured in the hours-long melee.

Dr. Brian H. Williams went on to say that police are not the problem, but instead the lack of discussion about “the impact of race relations”.
Williams said that not being able to save some of the officers “weighs on my mind constantly”.
Micah Johnson, an Army veteran, received instruction at the Academy of Combative Warrior Arts in the Dallas suburb of Richardson about two years ago, said the school’s founder and chief instructor, Justin J. Everman. Moving ahead of the demonstrators in a black Tahoe SUV, he stopped when he saw a chance to use “high ground” to target police, Brown said.
Elsewhere in Texas, police shot and killed a man early Saturday after he was spotted standing in a Houston road with a revolver.
Dallas Police experienced heightened security Saturday night after an anonymous threat came in to the police department.
Obama is expected to visit Dallas on Tuesday in the wake of the fatal shooting of five police officers. Authorities do not “have any independent report from an officer saying, ‘I think I hit him, ‘” Jenkins said. “Officers are searching the police parking garage for a suspicious person”, said the police department.
Chief Brown told CNN that it appeared Johnson was initially wounded writing the letters “RB” on a wall close to where he was blown up, with his own blood.
He added: “This wasn’t an ethical dilemma for me”.
“This is the best department in the country, and I’m proud to be associated with the men and women of the Dallas Police Department”, he said.
Two civilians were also hurt, the Dallas mayor’s office said. He was killed by a bomb delivered by remote-controlled robot after negotiations with authorities.
Brown said Johnson was in a position where officers would have had to expose themselves to “grave danger” to get a shot at him. Video from Dallas showed protesters marching along a downtown street about half a mile from City Hall when shots erupted and the crowd scattered, seeking cover.
Brown described the robot, which he said was purchased in 2008 for $151,000, and is still functional.
Micah Johnson served six years as a private in the Army Reserve force and was in Afghanistan from November 2013 to July 2014, the Army said.
After he was discharged from the Army in 2015, Johnson started studying black history and displaying images of black power on his Facebook page, his father says.
Everman suggested that Johnson “let me know when you make it down this way”.

Authorities have said the 25-year-old gunman kept a journal of combat tactics and had amassed a personal arsenal at his home, including bomb-making materials, rifles and ammunition.
