Dallas police corner suspect in garage
A man claiming to be the man’s brother told NBC DFW that the man turned himself to show police he was not involved in the Dallas shooting that left at least four officers dead. It is legal to open carry a rifle in Texas.

“This is not clear, it is not clear, it’s not clear to me what we are seeing but the situation is escalaiting”.
Officers followed the vehicle and they are questioning the occupants of that vehicle as well. “But the way I see it, it’s murder first and ask questions later”, Amsterdam said. Several were in surgery or in critical condition.

Police Chief David Brown said officers were negotiating with a shooter on the second story of a two-story parking garage “who was not being very cooperative” with officers.
Police said the suspects were situated on two different perches or garages. A suspicious package was found nearby that suspect and it is now being examined by the bomb squad.
Police take cover from the snipers in Dallas. The person threw the bag in the back of a black Mercedes which then sped off, police said.
The Dallas Police Department tweeted a photograph of a man dressed in a camouflage shirt with an assault rifle slung over his shoulder. The suspects were pulled over in the area and detained and officers were interviewing them. Police said the package is being secured by the bomb squad.
About 800 people participated in the demonstration, which came in the wake of two recent fatal shootings by police.
Three other Dallas Area Rapid Transit officers were wounded but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, said Morgan Lyons, a spokesman for DART.
“We’re leaving every motive on the table. we’re waiting for the suspects to break and let us know what they’re doing”.
The shooting began near one of the busiest parts of the city’s downtown, filled with hotels and restaurants. There were people running all over the intersection.
Three of those officers have died. “It was devastating to watch”.
The shooting happened during a protest against the recent police shootings of two black men, Alton Sterling in Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Minnesota.
Another witness who was at the protest said he heard multiple gunshots in rapid succession.
Downtown Dallas resident Carlos Harris told the paper that the shooters “were strategic. It was tap-tap-pause. Tap-tap-pause”.
The protesters chanted “Hands up, don’t shoot”, the line made famous in the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014. “We lost touch with two of our friends just trying to get out of there”.
