During the 12 days after the July 7 shooting the Dallas PD got a total of 467 job applications which is a whopping 344 percent increase compared to June which only had 136 job applications.

Just four days after the shootings – which took the lives of officers Senior Cpl. We are. Every societal failure, we put it off on the cops to solve.

The new applications may be coming from protestors inspired by Chief Brown’s challenge, they may be coming from people feeling grief and frustration after those officers were murdered (or both).

Brown told CNN the pay was the lowest among officers in the Dallas area.

“I just love Dallas”, he said. I’d get involved and do something about it, by becoming part of the solution”, and “We’re hiring. While a loud minority of people have been trying to make this a topic of division for the residents of Dallas, it does not seem to be working.

“It broke my heart, and it changed what I wanted to do in college”, he said. As he spoke of the deaths of the five officers he stressed how important it was to have good cops and asked those who would like to serve the public apply.

The Dallas shooting was the deadliest event for American law enforcement since the September 11 terror attacks, during which Kerik led the New York Police Department.

More funerals have been taking place this week for the three law officers killed in Baton Rouge in another ambush on police.
