Damn, Now Doctor Doom Is Becoming Iron Man Too

Controversy arises regarding the new Iron Man. Well, after Secret Wars, Doom’s face was fixed as a parting gift from Reed Richards (at that is what we assume), and he’s reached out to Tony Stark with a desire to find some measure of redemption. Miles’s series did not sell as many copies as the traditional Spider-Man comic, but Axel Alonso, the editor-in-chief of Marvel Entertainment, said the character had helped bring in new readers. Williams, who was created by Brian Michael Bendis, immediately popped up on Stark’s radar when he learned that the M.I.T. student reverse-engineered one of his old armors all by herself in her dorm room.

The Robert Downey Jr version of Iron Man also spent this summer passing down knowledge and help to a very young would-be superhero and tech genius, and many people thought that was a highlight of Civil War.

“I get people don’t want Tony to step down or whatever but having a black woman as Iron Man is incredible and wonderful representation”, comments another fan.

Civil War II sees Tony Stark hang up his boots to be replaced by Riri Williams, the company said, reported BBC. The X-Men’s Kitty Pryde is also a computer whiz, and in the Ultimate Universe, Sue Storm is a scientist.

While fans are getting excited about Riri Williams becoming the new Iron Man, the Hollywood Reporter reveals that Marvel has more plans for Iron Man. “Infamous Iron Man” also pays off part of the Deodato-illustrated “Divided We Stand” teaser, which included Von Doom holding an Iron Man helmet.

This isn’t the first time Iron Man has indulged his bad ways.

Impetuous for creating female and ethnically diverse superheroes has two advantages – one being to reach out to a larger audience who begs for cultural diversity and two, because these racially diverse characters create more of a buzz in the media.

The new “Invincible” Iron Man series, which is penned by Bendis and artist Stefano Caselli, marks the latest attempt to diversify Marvel’s cast of characters by having women and people of colour play the iconic heroes. Where Tony Stark failed, Doom will succeed. Following that story arc, Tony Stark is inexplicably absent from the ensuing Iron Man comic books.
