Dana White Indicates CM Punk Won’t Get Second UFC Fight
Does he work even harder and try to comeback for another UFC fight?

“In life, you go big or you go home”, Punk said following his loss. “I didn’t get to the summit tonight but it doesn’t mean I’m going to give up, it doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere, it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop”. “Don’t sell yourself short, you know what I mean?'” I know that sounds preachy and weird for a guy that just got beat up, but f*ck it – this was the time of my life!
CM Punk’s UFC debut went the way many would have expected as a man with no previous mixed martial arts experience was beaten in the first round by promising youngster Mickey Gall. “It was the second best night of my life behind my wedding night”.
But as many experts predicted, the former WWE pro wrestling champion didn’t have much opportunity to do that against the 24-year-old Gall, who fights out of New Jersey. Punk was criticized by many who did not think that the jump from WWE to UFC was a wise move.
Punk’s last televised competition appearance took place at WWE’s Royal Rumble in 2014. Gall followed that with punches and elbows from top position, before advancing to side control and then mount. After all, you have to be a pretty big star to get signed by the UFC, without ever having fought… Fight Network correspondent John Pollock tweeted late last night “Dana White tells me that if CM Punk has another fight, it probably shouldn’t be in the UFC”.

Punk – real name Phil Brooks – was swarmed on nearly immediately by Brazilian Ji-Jitsu brown belt Gall, who had a competitive record of 2-0 heading into the fight at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Gall elected to wait, rather than ask for another fight. Why are you going to say that about yourself? “I feel a little bit sorry to take something away from Cleveland but we’re here, we’re going to do it. He wanted a shot, I gave him his shot”. And I think I’m supper happy that’s something that didn’t bother me at all.
