Punk was not able to mount any form of offense in the fight, and was finished early in the first round. Gall wouldn’t be surprised to see Punk in the Octagon again eventually, because the UFC is a business, after all.

Speaking after the fight, UFC president Dana White admitted his next fight shouldn’t be with the promotion. Just about everyone picked up on it, because just about everyone watched CM Punk get his ass handed to him live on PPV.
