Dana White says CM Punk’s next fight probably shouldn’t be in UFC
And, apparently, he loved every second of it. Gall took Punk down nearly immediately, beat him up on the mat and made him tap to the rear-naked choke. So, now that Punk lost, and lost quickly, what’s the plan? He promised his fans that he will be back in the octagon, but now it might not be in UFC. After that match, it is obvious that he needs more training and fight-experience to hang counterpart his future UFC opponents, for which he may need to step down from his current contract.

“In life, you go big or you go home”. This was a rather interesting take from McGregor, as he chose to commend the ex-pro wrestler instead of making an “I told you so” statement in the light of his loss. This was a hell of a mountain to try to climb. I didn’t get to the summit tonight but it doesn’t mean I’m going to give up. “It doesn’t mean I’m going to stop”, Punk added.
Gall dominated the fight and finished Punk inside two and a half minutes.
“I had back surgery for this”.
CM Punk finally made his MMA debut Saturday, and his performance appeared to validate the many critics who thought he had no place in the sport’s top-level outfit. “This was the second best day of my life, besides marrying my wife”. The youngster ducked a wild punch from Punk and scooped him by both legs and took him to the mat. Punk came out in an upright stance and moved aggressively forward. Punk was not able to mount any form of offense in the fight, and was finished early in the first round. Gall wouldn’t be surprised to see Punk in the Octagon again eventually, because the UFC is a business, after all.

Speaking after the fight, UFC president Dana White admitted his next fight shouldn’t be with the promotion. Just about everyone picked up on it, because just about everyone watched CM Punk get his ass handed to him live on PPV.
