As the dust settles from Holly Holm’s stunning destruction of the previously undefeated champion Ronda Rousey, many are asking who’s next?

UFC president Dana White assured fans that Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm will rematch next year.

“I think that if we didn’t make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta] should lose our promoters’ license”, White said. “I don’t know when, but that’s the fight that will happen”. “The fight [Rousey] had right before that, she knocked a girl out in 30 seconds and she was still living that lifestyle”, White said when asked whether outside distractions contributed to Rousey’s loss.

The logistics will be interesting with Rousey about to shoot a Road House remake and so many other obligations outside the ring, but a rematch is coming at some point soon.

It’s a fight many people would love to see – and its one that Holm has already said she would gladly take to give Rowdy another beating.

Despite the seemingly lopsided outcome, White says the idea of a rematch, something he’s already spoken to Holm about, is a no-brainer.
