Dancing Stormtroopers Earn Golden Buzzer From Simon Cowell On Britain’s Got Talent

How topical. Just this week, the United States president, Barack Obama, and his wife, Michelle, marked Star Wars Day (“May the fourth be with you”) by dancing with R2-D2 and some Stormtroopers. The classic piece was soon replaced by a medley of modern dance tracks, including Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put a ring on it), Over Getting Over by Fleur East, and even Psy’s Gangnam Style.

On the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent, cinema’s most despised soldiers proved they have the ability to do more than take orders.

He continued, “My dream has come true”.

Boogie Storm, however, may not have been, so I think it was completely valid that Simon would use his Golden Buzzer for them.

Mystery had surrounded the the identity of Boogie Storm’s leader as, unusually for the show, the group did not speak on camera before their audition or after their triumph instead letting their moves do the talking – what no sob story?

Britain’s Got Talent’s dancing Stormtroopers Boogie Storm have been unmasked – so just who are they really?!

“No surprise that the real-life Darth Vader voted for his troops”, quipped David. They included the Deep Space Deviants, who were dressed as the Doctor Who character Darvos, a pianist obsessed with cats from the Netherlands, and a Belarusian act called Vadik and the Bear, featuring a giant dancing polar bear.

Speaking before their audition, Joey revealed that he had trained to become a priest with Dec’s brother, Dermott Donnelly.

Other acts safely into the next round are musical theatre singer Rachael Wooding and The Deep Space Deviants, also known as Paul Dolman.
