Dancing with the Stars 2015

Even Wetpaint reports that in spite of Nick Carter and Bindi Irwin scoring the lowest score in semi-finals last week, Carlos PenaVega or Alek Skarlatos are likely to be eliminated in the finals.

On Tuesday night, the final three contestants will take part in a repeat dance from the season and then a new routine, which is part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge”. Giving Derek his sixth Mirror Ball Trophy might be overkill to some (no other pro has won more than twice), but Bindi is magical and the kind of person people want to root for.

One, finalist Bindi Irwin, used the show to help process emotions from the death of her father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, more than a decade ago.

Hough also revealed that he wanted this upcoming freestyle dance, one of two they are performing Monday night to reflect what the couple has gone through during the weeks of competition.

Bindi also showed her dedication during rehearsals since she was seen super-gluing her toenails, despite the nails keep falling off, and sustaining minor injuries, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. “And it’s changed my life”. Carlos and Witney danced a Hip Hop/Salsa Freestyle joined by Hayes Grier, Paula Dean and Carlos’ wife, Alexa. And Nick Carter brought the audience on its feet and cheering with his group dance to “Larger Than Life”, his 1999 hit song with the Backstreet Boys. This dance is the polar opposite of Alek’s freestyle, which it directly follows, but it’s equally moving in a completely different way. (She also calls Sharna a “goddess.”) Julianne is speechless about how well they did. Every season the pairings are like clockwork (Derek Hough with the young, talented one, Tony Dovolani with the dramatic one, Keo Motsepe with the early eliminations).

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: Backstreet’s back! Judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough (Derek’s sister) were both moved to tears by Irwin’s performance. Only this time, the context is one of America’s biggest reality television shows.

For Bindi and Derek’s quickstep, Carrie Ann offered the power couple some pointers. It’s hard to compare them; there’s nothing to criticize about Nick’s performance, but the others were just too good. Carrie Ann said “your strong point is this strength and determination that you have…I felt the connection on an emotional level”.

“Fargo”: The title for tonight’s episode is “Did you do this?” The judges loved it, and handed over the first ideal score of the night. Steve Irwin’s photo with Bindi as a little girl appeared on screen at the very end, a surprise from Derek to Bindi who saw it for the first time we did.
