In addition to the Switch-Up, season 18 victor Maksim Chmerkovskiy is back as a judge. The judge’s scores from last week will be combined with this week’s scores, plus the viewer’s votes, to determine who gets sent home next Monday.

Tamar Braxton and Louis van Amstel (Samba) – I don’t blame Louis for capitalizing on his lone week with a strong partner, but I do think his massively complex movements may have been a bit too much for the daytime TV personality. There was a little bit of a disconnect and there was a mistake in the middle.

It is always good to see Maks in the ballroom, even if it is just to be a guest judge!

Once they dance their dances with their “switch-up” partner, which can really shake up the competition, they will return to their original partner’s next week.

Hollywood… this is Dancing with the Stars! But hey, he is only 15, and can rock a set of coattails like nobody’s business. He looked so handsome as Prince Charming!

The dances were twice as long as they have been before and the celebrities “switched up” partners, the primary reason the show decided not to cut anybody this week. Bruno thought it was too jumpy and “kangaroo-ish”. The judges liked the routine, but Nick has set the bar too high for himself, so everyone seems disappointed while also giving him 9s. It is adorable. The dance just shows her in a whole new light-a sassy, fun loving young lady. Julianne’s critique is interrupted by Paula flashing the judges’ table.

Maks said that the dancers seemed disconnected. Then Alek Skarlatos scored a 24. Hopefully Lindsay’s spark can raise the hunk out of his funk! In DWTS results tonight, no one was eliminated.

Sammi: Thank you for making me feel old by saying Backstreet Boys is not your era and your mom’s music. That million-dollar smile is infectious, and she matches Val step for step.

Julianne: She offers advice on where to improve. “That wasn’t a great quickstep, it was an awesome quickstep”, quipped Maks.

Chmerkovskiy was on the panel along with judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough. So if you are a big fan of Derek Hough, you need to vote for his ORIGINAL partner, Bindi Irwin, not Alexa PenaVega. Julianne calls Alexa a “raw vixen”.

Louis is happy to be away from Paula, meaning he can actually come up with a few challenging choreography.

Andy and Sharna dance an Argentine Tango for their “Switch Up” dance. And, for the second half of the dance, he finally embraces that “selling the performance” technique that Sharna was coaching him on.

Julianne says the musicality and footwork were great. Maks said the dance wasn’t great… it was fantastic! Bruno says there were balance issues during the in-hold portions and that she screwed up her arms several times. We have now been laughing & getting alongside so well. The celebrity chef received the lowest score from judges last week.

Carrie Ann disagrees and the crowd cheers. Sorry about his father.
