Dancing With the Stars: And the victor is
The 17-year-old Aussie displayed fluid grace and ideal poise with a dash of spirit.

We are at the end of 11 weeks of “Dancing With the Stars”, weeks that were filled with dancing, determination and drama worthy of a sudsy reality show.
There was also more dancing, including a few great but relatively forgettable final performances from the three finalists, just before Alek Skarlatos was rightfully eliminated. It honored her dad, her family, her loved ones and it also showed her growth from this little girl e all saw years ago into this wonderful, lovely woman. ‘She looks that challenge in the face…’
Irwin’s final dance on Tuesday with Hough – a combination of the cha cha and Argentine tango – earned a ideal 30. More of that throughout next season, please. She’s been an inspiration, a “shining light”, and a attractive ray of sparkling sunshine on a regular basis, and we couldn’t be happier to see her win.
Everyone brought their A-game in one of the best DWTS finales we’ve seen. Although Sharna was there, the spotlight was nearly totally on Nick.
However, in Lindsay’s freestyle debut, she excelled: she created an obstacle course that included other dances and an eight-foot wall.
What did you guys think of tonight’s show?
Their judges’ scores were 10, 10 and 10. Erin Andrews could have easily handled those announcement duties. You’ll always be with us and I hope we’ll always be with you.
Alek and Lindsay (rumba/tango)The dance: Alek finally got his lines down! Which past competitors had you completely forgotten about until tonight? Carrie Ann gushes about his integrity. Did you miss any of last night’s performances?
The judges’ scores were 9,9 and 9, so 27 out of 30.
The remaining couples fused two contrasting dance styles that they’ve performed this season and had less than 24 hours to prepare that dance for judges’ points.
The viewers were offered a glimpse of Alek in the studio. When they’re dancing separately, it’s obvious that Nick is not quite up to par with Sharna, but when they’re dancing together these guys are on fire. Who could forget their much-parodied moves in I Want It That Way? Heck yeah!’ Nick said.
Worst: America, for voting off jockey Victor Espinoza way too soon in the competition.
Andy Grammer: He sings “Good to Be Alive” and it’s a fantastic reminder of how darn entertaining he is.
Worst: Who chose to give up so much airtime (technical difficulties or not) for Santa Clause to announce that Hayes Grier was going on the DWTS tour? In addition, Mark Ballas and his girlfriend, BC Jean, will perform as the duo Alexander Jean Tuesday night.
Speaking of some of their downsides, even Bindi wasn’t immune from the criticism.
Monday night’s standout moment: When Irwin’s freestyle ended, a photo of her with her father appeared on a large screen onstage.
‘Nick is a Backstreet Boy, ‘ Bruno said.
“This experience was a bonding experience”. There’s a lot to get to, so pace yourselves.
The contestant has opened up before that all of her performances were dedicated to her late father Steve. She added, “Derek put that in this freestyle, and I feel that Dad is with me every day”.
“She’s so unique”, Derek Hough tells Closer of his dance partner. Bindi’s mother was crying, surrounded by an audience of crying people. Bindi revealed this about her time on the show.
‘This whole experience has changed my life, so thank you, thank you, ‘ Bindi sobbed.

Bindi! Are we really surprised? It was lovely, it was extraordinary. I can’t help but think that if Tamar Braxton didn’t make it back from the hospital, Alexa might actually be in the Final 3. “Dad, I love you”, she captioned.
