Who do you think should be the first celebrity sent home on DWTS Season 21?

Dancing with the Stars results last night delivered the first elimination of the season.

The first episode of week two had celebs dance a number inspired by their “hometown glory”, with all stars scoring higher than their debut marks except for boy-band member Nick Carter.

“Dancing With the Stars” returns for a second show of Week 2 on Tuesday, September 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. One more couple will be eliminated at the end of the show.

The show must go on, even if the shoes come off.

Nick Carter and his pro partner Sharna Burgess did a jive. Beats me. Carrie Ann thought he had a “wonderful interpretive quality” in his dancing, and Julianne said he needed to watch his consistency. Her Cha Cha with Val Chmerkoskiy to “We Are Family” was sassy but still classy, another score of 24 points. Despite a few technical issued pointed out by the judges, they loved her Tango with Derek Hough.

For week two, viewers may cast their votes for their favorite couples via phone on Monday and Tuesday night during and up to 60 minutes after the end of “Dancing with the Stars” broadcast in each time zone. Their Foxtrot goes over great with the judges, with Carrie Ann calling him a contender. However, the one person that seemed to have retained her position would be Bindi Irwin, who apparently is sitting pretty on top of the dancing couples. Hayes danced an emotional Foxtrot in tribute to his mother with partner Emma Slater.

Paula Deen was also much improved, tying with her own score of 19 points for a Rumba to “Midnight Train to Georgia”. Adam Taylor/ABC Vine star Hayes Grier won the judges over with his energy and connection with his partner. Her Fotxtrot earned her a 15 – she looks like she was trying but forgot numerous moves. “He is by far one of the best dancers that I’ve ever seen”.

“You have a lot of potential but it was a mess”, Inaba said.

Despite the bad reviews, the singer got 21 points. Bruno Tonioli asked where this surprising side of Bindi had come from.

Victor Espinoza and Karina Smirnoff: The Triple Crown winning jockey grew up in Hidalgo, Mexico, which means he is culturally entitled to dance to “La Bamba” and wear a giant sombrero around his … er, belt buckle, and no one is allowed to snort-laugh. The couples took on routines that honored the hometowns of the celebrities. Motsepe said, “She’s a diva, which I like because when she’s on the floor, people know she’s there”.

Based on their performances from last week, Khan and actor Gary Busey were both in danger of being eliminated Monday night. Carrie said she did at least stretch her lines and felt something. The couples will present two dances each. Apparently, as Julianne points out, he slipped, which must’ve messed him up.

Bruno dubbed her “pantera Alexa” and called the dance “wild and wonderful”. Though the routine was a bit short on dancing, the judges praised the performance.

Speaking after her elimination, the 62-year-old said: “I absolutely enjoyed it”.
