Daniel Amartey excels in first Leicester win of the season
Leicester built up a head of steam in the early exchanges and they won a free-kick just outside the Swansea area when Federico Fernandez chopped down Jamie Vardy on his way to goal.

Swansea were beaten 2-1 in the East Midlands, seven days after a home loss to Hull, though in truth the scoreline could have been heavier.
“In the first half we didn’t play well but in the second half something we change”.
Vardy held off the challenge of Amat to smash in off the post after racing onto a ball over the top.
That was the latest in a long list of goals Swansea have conceded from set-pieces.
Swansea were as abysmal as the weather, fortunate to escape without a more humiliating scoreline and only impressing in the final 10 minutes, but this was the ideal end to a memorable week for Claudio Ranieri and his players. Swansea’s biggest problem during that period was keeping the ball, never mind trying to score. “In my opinion Leicester deserved to win because they played very well in the first half and we didn’t”.
‘The goalscorer always scores goals and I’m very happy for Jamie.
It was a reprieve for Swansea and one that they took advantage of later in the game when Fer, climbing above Morgan, headed beyond Ron-Robert Zieler, a second-half replacement for Schmeichel, who had seemed to injure his groin when rushing from his line to make a clearance.
Leicester’s first win in three games gets their title defence up and running, while Francesco Guidolin’s men have now suffered consecutive defeats since their win over Burnley on the opening day. “He can play centre-back, central midfielder, right-back, right winger, and I am very pleased with him”, Ranieri was quoted as saying on Skysports.
“I am very disappointed because he is a very good lad”, said Ranieri. The home side was able to pull one back in the 75 minute but by them, it was too late.
“It is hard to stop Vardy”.
“He is a complete player”, the 60-year-old said. He is an important player.
Guidolin claimed a “meeting” at half-time was behind a change in ploy that did give a little bit of positivity to the performance, but insisted it was only him handing advice to his players.

‘For us it was not a good match in the first half. We were not passing well.
