Daniel Day-lewis ‘Reuniting With Paul Thomas Anderson For Screen Return’
For one of the most acclaimed actors of all time, Day-Lewis is notoriously reclusive and picky about his projects. Since the last go-round with Thomas Anderson earned Day-Lewis his second of three Best Actor Oscars, this new collaboration comes front-loaded with a lot of anticipation, expectation, and excitement.

Good news, fans of immersive method acting: Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Thomas Anderson are looking to reunite for a fashion scene drama set in the 1950s.
The only other bit of information, currently, albeit unconfirmed: Anderson’s “meeting young actresses of Eastern European descent to cast supporting roles”.
Though little has been revealed about the movie, it is set in the 1950s and will be notably different from the project that brought them together, because it is set in NY and will revolve around the fashion industry. Annapurna Pictures, the film-finance company founded by Megan Ellison that backed Anderson’s The Master and Inherent Vice, is producing and footing the bill.
It will be his first big-screen role since 2012’s Lincoln, which won him his third Oscar.

Most recently, Anderson directed the music video for Radiohead’s “Daydreaming”. The write-up also states that Day-Lewis has been loosely attached to the untitled project for some time, but with no studio lined up at the moment, it’s safe to say that this one is still in very early stages of development.
