Danny Amendola to miss game against Broncos with knee injury
Tom Curran of CSN New England, confirming a report from Steve Burton of WBZ, says that receiver Danny Amendola won’t play on Sunday night in Denver. While it was reported that he had recovered from that illness last week, Collins did not hit the practice field for the Patriots until Friday.

I would not be surprised if Amendola can play for the Patriots, but the Broncos defense might be paying really close attention to this development.
The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are set to battle in Mile High during the regular season for the first time since 2011, when Tim Tebow was quarterback for the Broncos.
Amendola injured his knee in the third quarter Monday and was a limited participant in practices on Thursday and Friday.
The Patriots officially listed Amendola as questionable and revealed little about his injury this week. The Patriots receiver was expected to fill the slot role after New England lost wide receiver Julian Edelman with a broken foot.
Both Amendola and Williams were questionable with knee injuries. He joins Brandon LaFell, Chris Harper and Matthew Slater as the only active receivers.

With Amendola, Collins, Williams, Edelman and cornerback Justin Coleman (hand) out, the Patriots will have only two more players to declare inactive for Sunday’s game.
