Danny Dyer ‘skint’ when he was offered ‘EastEnders’
DANNY Dyer has hinted at what’s to come for his EastEnders character Mick Carter in the New Year. I have to wear a wetsuit so that says something, there’s water involved! “They said, “We’re gonna leave you this Christmas because last year we put it on you”, but New Year’s Day, here we f***ing go”, he said.

“They thought I was a multi-millionaire and I met them in the hotel and I walked in absolutely skint, not a bean (penny) about me (sic). I did an interview recently and said I knew nothing about it, I said her in doors would sort it out and now she’s got the hump”.
I’m not allowed to give too much away.
Despite wanting to jump at the offer, the handsome star said he “played it down” and made out it was no big deal.
However, he insisted that being called all manner of names is in fact a sign of affection as he explained, “Where I come from in the East End, it’s what people say. It starts off lovely and then goes a bit bandy”.
Speaking on this Saturday’s Jonathan Ross Show on ITV, Danny added: “It’s dark but it resolves a certain storyline with my missus”.
And it seems that front and centre of the drama will be the climax of the long-running Who Killed Lucy Beale plot, and we’re to see a resolution to the Dean Wicks Linda Carter rape storyline. “It’s worked for both of us, the show has turned around and they have given me a few real gifts as an actor”.
He spoke about Mick’s upcoming bachelor party and revealed that it reflected his “ultimate stag do”.
He said: “It’s a right good stag do, someone gets (hit)”.
The actor goes on to admit he could have ended up working as a labourer in the construction industry if he had not landed the soap role: “I might have had to go and load skips…” There’s a little Facebook campaign – thing is my odds at the betting shop are that Emily Blunt has better odds than me to become the next Bond.

The Jonathan Ross Show will air on ITV1 at 10.25pm on October 31.
