Liverpool have most certainly made a huge impact in the transfer market so far by recruiting the services of Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Nathaniel Clyne and Danny Ings among others.

And Liverpool’s boss will be hoping his latest young recruit can help lift Liverpool back into Champions League contention in the next campaign after the Reds massively struggled for goals last time around, scoring just 52. A number of clubs were linked with a move for Ings, but it was Liverpool who secured his signature.

“As soon as I knew that Liverpool were interested, it was a no-brainer”, he told LFCTV. It was the only club on my mind, to be fair. For a player like me, I think it will be ideal to work with him; I’m really looking forward to getting that relationship with him and the rest of the coaches and the players as well.

“Of course, he’s an unbelievable striker”, the youngster enthused. “It’s something I’m really excited to do”.

‘He’s fantastic at developing young players, ‘ he added.

If the two clubs are unable to come to an agreement then a tribunal will be sued to decide on the final outcome, one of which could see Ings’ career on Merseyside come to an end, as a result of Spurs’ having reportedly lodged a £12m bid to the Clarets, prior to his move to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
