Things are looking VERY good for all of the Strictly Come Dancing 2015 finalists. Jay, who defeated vanquished Kellie Brilliant & Georgia May Foote in taking the crown, has persistently denied the reports, previously insisting: “We now have all had comical about it”, though the duo’s confession of platonic love will little question set tongues wagging.
McGuinness also addressed rumours of a relationship with his professional dance partner Aliona Vilani, and said although there was no romance between them, their friendship was “very firm and real”.
McGuiness looked shocked when co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced his name. “I couldn’t be happier”.
The night had seen Jay come bottom of the leaderboard, with an accumulated score of 110.
Despite Jay’s victory, throughout the final fans were quick to accuse the show of fixing the results, following Eastenders star Kellie’s nearly flawless score.
When the phone lines opened McGuiness stormed the public vote and – after one more recap of clips from the series and some talking heads about the dance journeys all the competitors had been on over the last 12 weeks – was named the champion. All I wanted to do was get to the final.
Wilmslow -raised BBC Proms presenter Katie Derham and Anton Du Beke were the first couple to leave the showdown between four couples – Anton’s first ever final. I have to say it was divine, you were in charge.
Former ballerina Darcey Bussell said: “That was outstanding”.
Bright and partner Kevin Clifton topped the leaderboard after their three dances.
“I would have liked a bit more show in the showdance”, said Goodman. I’m glad I got to do as many dances as possible; that’s all I really wanted; thats what really important.
Bruno Tonioli said: The content was incredibly you really are twinkle toes out there.
Meanwhile Ellie Goulding gave a stunning performance of her hit Love Me Like You Do, earning huge praise from viewers online.
