Dark Souls Comic Book Being Published In April 2016
We’re still a few months removed from Dark Souls 3’s April 12 release date, but fans desperate for something new from the Dark Souls franchise can look forward to the early April debut of a new Dark Souls comic book series from Titan Comics, according to a report from IGN.

You can expect Dark Souls #1 to arrive in comic book stores on April 6, 2016. Due to be set within the world created Bandai Namco & FromSoftware, the series will be written by George Mann (Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor, Newbury and Hobbes Investigations) and illustrated by Alan Quah (Orphan Black, Godzilla: Awakening). The writer also claims to be a big fan of the video games, which should reassure fans who are curious about the title’s quality.
Reportedly the comics will not be a retelling of the stories told in the games but rather brand new stories set in the game’s universe.
It’s not been confirmed as yet whether the Dark Souls comic book will be a limited series or an ongoing publication but as soon as more information becomes available we will keep you updated.

Luckily fans won’t have to wait for too long to get their hands on the first edition comic book. Issue #1 will have five cover options: two based on concept art from the games, one blank sketch cover, and two variant covers from Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini. But, if nothing else, watching Quah, a detail-focused artist, lovingly draw murderous giants and ruthless knights should be a fun read, and it’ll sate your need for Dark Souls before the game drops.
