“He’s been fighting for a lot of things I believe in and look he’s not afraid to engage on the hottest subjects”, Issa said during an interview on Fox News this morning about his endorsement, calling the Florida Senator an “exciting candidate”. Clinton is the favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“Everytime we fear, every time we are anxious about something, what we are basically saying is that ‘I know that God is very powerful but this problem is so big that not even God can solve it. It’s got to be up to me to solve it, ‘” Rubio said.

Issa explained Rubio has “been fighting some of the same fights”. “That is why I am proud to endorse Marco Rubio for president”.

During his appearance on Fox News, Issa, who spent most of his life in the private sector before running for the U.S. Senate in 1998 and winning a congressional seat in 2000, stressed Rubio’s work on homeland security issues including his attempt to keep a program collecting data on terrorists in place.

“We are biblically ordered not to be afraid”, Rubio said.
