Darren Criss Rehearses for ‘Little Mermaid’ with Sara Bareilles
We know we’re not supposed to cheer for Ursula, but Rebel Wilson was pitch ideal as the tentacled antagonist. Croaking out “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, Wilson dove into the character and triumphed with her sheer vitality, just as a hypnotic character like Ursula deserves.

By now, the glorious fun of the June 3-6 production of The Little Mermaid is all over YouTube, and it’s all fine and lovely to look at the fishes. As he later tweeted, “I could play this role for the rest of my life”. She’s not the only person who has been a fan of the series and are playing parts this time.
Jodi Benson, known as the original speaking and singing voice of Princess Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, surprised the audience of DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID at the Hollywood Bowl with a rendition of “Part of Your World”. Along with her thanks, she also shared pictures that included one of her getting into costume as Ursula. First up was pop star Sara Bareilles, who came onstage with fresh streaks of red hair in honor of her finned character.
All in all, she totally killed it. Watch for yourself below.
John Stamos will be performing in live performances of “The Little Mermaid” soundtrack this weekend, and to borrow his words, “Oh, it’s on!”
Social media exploded with posts from the magical night, with cast members, fans in attendance and even the official Disney Music Instagram account sharing videos.
