It’s set to be a big night for Penny, who will be looking forward to seeing her daughter headline the Pyramid stage at 10.15pm.
Almost every member of the crowd sang in unison as she launched into the chorus of Hello and flares illuminated the sky.
The best moment of the night came when Adele brought a crying fan on stage to take a selfie with her. ‘I didn’t want to come on and now I don’t want to go off!’ she said tearfully at the end, ‘This is, by far, the best moment of my life so far’. Please excuse my language folks, I just got a little bit too inspired by Adele’s Glastonbury set that she pretty much cursed through the entirety of. “I’ve been coming since I was your age”, she added.
However, she brushed it off in typical Adele fashion, joking: “Perfect time to fuck up a song, Glastonbury headline set, wouldn’t you agree?”
GLASTONBURY, England As tired Glastonbury fans extricated their tents and cars from the ankle-deep mud on Monday morning, they could at least bathe in the glow of a “Best of British” music festival that did something to dispel their gloom at seeing fellow Britons vote to leave the EU.
What will be interesting will be to see how many streams Adele’s latest album release will have ahead of Friday’s official chart, and how many “Chart Sales” said streams will win 25.
Adele also revealed her Glastonbury performance was inspired by Kanye West.
While the star’s performance was flawless, fans were also blown away by how down to Earth she was as her personality shined through in between songs.
He then led the crowd in a rendition of the AC/DC song Highway To Hell.
The Brit and Grammy Award-winning singer also met Tracy Gibney and her daughter Rebecca at their home in the Short Strand.
The star-stuck woman could barely speak or hold her phone long enough to take a selfie, making Adele step in. “You can enjoy it in real life”, she continued.
“Oh my God, I just burped!”
Despite complaints about her potty mouth, the Adele Glastonbury appearance got some rave reviews.

Earlier the show was stopped abruptly when an audience member fell ill and a path had to made for security to enter the crowd.
