David Bowie ‘cremated without any fuss’

Prior to that, the 69-year-old rock legend released his final studio album entitled “Blackstar”. While his passing came as a shock to everyone, Brian says that in retrospect, he can see that David was bidding him farewell in his own way before he lost his life.

Leibovitz was speaking at the launch of her exhibition, Women: New Portraits, in a former power station by the River Thames in Wapping, east London. “And we wanted to take a second here and just look back at a few of the fun moments I had with David Bowie over the years”, the comedian continued.

It’s unsure when and where his funeral will be held, but no doubt his family are now making preparations in New York City.

The supermodel has not spoken publicly since it was announced that her husband had passed away following a secret 18-month battle with cancer.

Lazarus lead Michael C. Hall said none of the cast knew about his condition, but thought Bowie was delivering a clear message in his “Lazarus” video.

His musical Lazarus opened in NY in December.

David Bowie was planning to make another album after Backstar because he believed he had more time.

“I received an email from him seven days ago”. He was fun. He was always amusing.

And it seems Bowie’s wish that fans would remember him for his music is being fulfilled: six of the top ten albums on the Australian iTunes chart are by him, with that parting gift, Blackstar, sitting at number one.

And it seems even God was a fan of Bowie.

The Clarendon say: “Ziggy Stardust, Major Tom, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke, Tao Jones, Halloween Jack, John Merrick… the one and only David Bowie”.
