David Bowie fans sign petition to stop Kanye West tribute album
Kanye West you’re no David Bowie, you’re not even a Vanilla Ice, if you dare release a David Bowie album you will unleash holy hell. A similar, more realistic campaign is lobbying for a new star to be named after him, and by far the least likely is asking God (or whom it may concern) to send Bowie back to Earth.

One of the most heartbreaking things about David’s passing is that now his AH-Mazing love story has such a tragic ending. 38 Degrees user Peter Piranha’s has 18,955 at the time of writing.
The tabloid quoted an unnamed source as saying: “Some are straightforward covers with Kanye actually singing”. As Billboard points out, the singer’s sales increased by more than a whopping 5,000 percent in the week since his death. On others he is rapping with his own lyrics over Bowie’s music.
Yet on Wednesday, TMZ debunked the Daily Star’s article, reporting that a West representative said the rumors were false. In the wake of the rock legend’s death earlier this month, rumors flew wild that the “No More Parties in LA” rapper was looking to release an album of Bowie’s music, but those rumblings have since been denied.
Bowie, who was an actor, painter and fashion icon in addition to a musician, had played in a 1976 film version of “The Man Who Fell to Earth” but did not write the music due to a contractual dispute.

Another commentator was less diplomatic. “He couldn’t lace Davids boots”. The footwear made heads turn as they were similar to what Bowie sported at some point in his lifetime. Remember his annihilation of “Bohemian Rhapsody” at Glastonbury?
