David Bowie’s son throws cryptic dig at Lady Gaga following Grammys tribute
Duncan, a BAFTA-award winning filmmaker, posted a tweet after Gaga took to the stage to perform a medley of Bowie’s hits on Monday night, just over a month since the music icon died from cancer.

It’s unclear whether the Tweet was actually a veiled swipe at Gaga’s performance, but users were quick to decipher it as such. It was a shame that the Lady Gaga drag segment was positioned as the official industry tribute to Bowie.
On Twitter, he shared with his 277,000 followers a dictionary definition of the word “gaga”. “Damn it! What IS that word!?”
The singer ran through 10 of David’s biggest hits during her performance, sporting Bowie-esque bright orange hair and a glittering white jumpsuit as she channelled the Thin White Duke on tracks such as “Space Oddity”, “Ziggy Stardust” and “Heroes”.
She got a standing ovation from the crowd at Staples Center, but Bowie’s son, Duncan Jones, didn’t have the same reaction.
Her medley also included flashing multi-coloured lights and images of her on a large screen.
Dressed as Bowie’s alter ego Ziggy Stardust, Gaga’s set was peppered with special effects and props which made it even more visually stunning.
Gaga was nominated at the Grammys for best song written for visual media for her “Til It Happens to You” from “The Hunting Ground”, but lost to Common and John Legend’s “Glory” from “Selma”.
David Bowie influenced so many various trends in music and fashion that we shall be grateful to him forever.
According to USA Today, Lady Gaga wanted to pay a personal tribute to David Bowie prior to her Grammy Awards performance, so she visited a tattoo artist in West Hollywood on Sunday.

“I’ve never seen anyone approach a project with quite this intensity”, he said of the singer. From jamming on the keyboard to leading a charge of Bowie-inspired dancers, Gaga totally did it all during her performance.
