David Bowie’s wife Iman posts moving messages ahead of his death

Following news of his death, critics poured over the lyrics from his swansong album Blackstar, released on his 69th birthday last Friday, looking for clues as to whether Bowie realised the end was near. Meanwhile, a friend of Bowie’s wife Iman said the grief-stricken supermodel is “holding up” following David’s death.

Former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox also paid her respects to the star on her Facebook page on Monday (11Jan16).

Elsewhere, Rick hailed the late music icon – who died on Sunday (01.10.16) following a secret 18-month battle with cancer – as a “musical genius” who not only “changed” his life, but the landscape of music, fashion and art.

In the message she emphasised the importance of savoring every day, with a quote: “sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment, until it becomes a memory”.
