Quoting a source in NY who said Bowie has wanted to leave the world “without any fuss”, the Mirror reported the beloved singer’s remains were cremated without any friends or family present.

David Bowie thought he had more time and was planning to make another album after Blackstar, his producer has revealed.
Although “black stars” are usually found in the breast, and can show evidence that the radial scar they form around is benign, rather than cancerous, for many fans the discovery has significance with Bowie’s choice of album title.
Ten of Bowie’s songs cracked Spotify’s “Global Top 50” on Monday, the streaming service’s daily ranking of the most played tracks.
“The unexpected death of David Bowie has made this tribute to him into a memorial concert”, organizers wrote on the concert’s official site.
Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire, who collaborated closely with Bowie, said in a statement: “David Bowie was one of the band’s earliest supporters and champions”.
Speaking to Piers Morgan on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain, he said of Bowie: “Yes I would [call him a genius], but it is a word that’s bandied around a lot and it is misused a lot”. On January 9, Bowie marked his 69th birthday with the release of a new album, “Blackstar”, with critics giving the thumbs up to the latest work in a long and innovative career.
