A midweek update from the charts company has revealed that “Blackstar” is now holding its own on the number one spot, while albums including his 2014 release “Nothing Has Changed” (currently sat at number seven), are also set to feature in the final countdown.
After David Bowie died, his friend and producer Tony Visconti shared this message: “He made Blackstar for us, his parting gift”.
The show will take place on March 31 at 8 p.m. The concert is a “benefit for a variety of music education programs serving underprivileged youth”, according to the Carnegie Hall site. “The show is taking on many more emotions”.
As Fallon said while holding up Bowie’s last album “Blackstar”, released Friday, “Play it loudly, and just thank him”.

Bowie battled cancer for 18 months and learned in November that his illness was terminal.
