Of note, the singer had declined to leave former wife and mother of son Duncan any of his fortune despite speculation that the singer may have sought some kind of reconciliation with his son’s mother after nearly 40 years of keeping out of each other’s way.
The will was filed on Friday afternoon in a NY courthouse.
He also bequested $2 million to a friend, Corinne Coco Schwab, and $1 million to another friend, Marion Skene of Switzerland. In a 2010 Daily Mail profile of Jones, the filmmaker was quoted as saying of her, “I’ve always considered her as my mum, so I never felt I was missing out in any way”.

David Bowie’s death leaves wife, Iman, a wealthy woman.
Bowie signed off on his last will and testament in 2004 reportedly after suffering a heart attack.
The will named two executors, Bowie’s business manager, William Zysblat, and a lawyer in London, Paddy Grafton Green.

Newsweek magazine reported that, according to a source close to the musician, there is a “long list of unscheduled musical releases that Bowie planned before he died”. Ken Holmes, current director of the monastery in question, Samye Ling, told the paper there was no one left there who was present during Bowie’s times, but the singer’s connections to Buddhism were known. It said Bowie’s estate was worth as much as $100 million, but it contained no breakdown of his holdings. Duncan Jones later took to Twitter to confirm that the statement was indeed accurate.
