David Cameron Prepares To Hand Over To Theresa May
As she fills the major roles in her government, May will have to keep Brexit-supporting heavyweights onside if she is to heal the splits in the party caused by the referendum. Mrs May’s reshuffle is likely to propel several female MPs onto the front-bench, meaning that close to half of the Cabinet are women. European leaders guided by EU principles may be unwilling to give Britain access to European markets without accepting the free movement of people.

Leadsom announced she was dropping out of the race, leaving May as the sole leadership candidate.
Eagle had earlier urged Corbyn to “get control” of his supporters after a brick was hurled through her office window. She is a mother; May is not.
In her speech, Leadsom pledged her support for May and said she had taken the decision to stand down in the interests of the need for strong leadership. Osborne, a one-time leadership hopeful, had strongly backed the bid to stay in the 28-nation bloc.
Cameron resigned after the Brexit vote.
The outgoing Prime Minister added that it was for May as the head of the new government to take forward finalizing the plan. Cameron, too, had never held a Cabinet position before becoming Prime Minister, although he had been a special adviser to Norman Lamont while he had been Chancellor. Simply Removals says they contained the Camerons’ Downing Street possessions in 330 boxes, 30 rolls of tape and three rolls of bubble wrap. “We will make Britain a country that works for everyone”.
While she might be characterised as “socially illiberal”, Lee said, May set out on Monday an economic programme as prime minister-in-waiting that was particularly left-leaning.
The Labour Party executive committee has ruled that his name must be on the ballot despite his lack of backing among legislators.
Cameron will tell the queen at Buckingham Palace he is resigning and suggest that Home Secretary Theresa May has the support to become prime minister.
Addressing members of the Parliament outside the House of Commons, May said she is “honored and humbled” to be chosen by the Conservatives as their leader.
But what do we know about her?
Pledging to deliver the results of the Brexit vote, she continued: “Brexit means brexit and we will make a success of it”.
“Unique as it may be, she has not offended anyone in the party and she has been elected so the country could steer through the unpleasant period of the so-called divorce with the European Union”, the expert said.
David Cameron made his final appearance in Parliament as Britain’s leader on Wednesday, turning the normally raucous prime minister’s questions session into a time for praise, thanks, gentle ribbing, cheers – all spiced with a sprinkle of criticism.
He said he was delighted that Ms May will be the next Prime Minister. “And then after that I expect to go to the Palace and offer my resignation, so we will have a new prime minister in that building behind me by Wednesday evening”, he said.
May served as Cameron’s home secretary, a cabinet-level position widely acknowledged to be one of the most challenging jobs in government, involving immigration, national security and crime.
Now his successor has been named: Theresa May will be Britain’s second female prime minister, after Margaret Thatcher.
He’ll also be updated by NZ’s trade minister Todd McClay who met with officials from both the United Kingdom and the European Union at the G20 trade ministers meeting in Shanghai over the weekend.
Martin Trepte, editor of the Maidenhead Advertiser, the local newspaper, said: “She’s a mature, grown-up, no-nonsense politician”.
