David Cassidy — Charged in Hit and Run Wreck
His attorney, Jason Forman, said Cassidy provided his driver license and registration information before driving to a hospital for a matter unrelated to the accident. The vehicle he struck had $12,000 in damages, and his own auto was towed by AAA due to the extent of the damage to it. The man driving the other auto was treated by paramedics at the scene and then transported to the hospital.

David Cassidy was charged with a hit-and-run on Wednesday, September 30, for a Florida vehicle crash he was involved in earlier in the month, The Associated Press reports. Police say he tried to cover up his licence plate, then left the scene with a flat tire.
But from 1970 to 1974, when “The Partridge Family” was on the air, it was the rare teenage girl who was not in love with Cassidy and it was impossible to go a day without hearing “I Think I Love You” on the radio. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in that case and was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and the use of a alcohol-locking device on his vehicle for a year. He also was cited for making an improper lane change and driving with a suspended license. Cassidy was previously arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) here in 2013.
Another run-in with the law.
Almost two years later, August 2013, he was stopped in New York. The actor appeared via satellite from his home in Florida, and began to get agitated when he was questioned about filing for bankruptcy and auctioning off his $1.8 million mansion.

On a more personal front, Cassidy’s wife of 23 years, Sue, filed for divorce in February 2014, telling TMZ that the split had been “looming for a few time”.
