David De Gea named in Manchester United US tour squad

David de Gea remains focused on Manchester United’s tour of America, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.

De Gea, signed for around £17.8million from Real’s city rivals Atletico in 2011, is seen not only as Casillas’ successor on the worldwide stage for Spain, but also on a club level at the Santiago Bernabeu.

De Gea is joining United in the United States for their pre-season tour which they left for Tuesday and De Gea was on the plane according to TalkSport.

Furthermore, the Old Trafford side themselves are interested in Madrid players Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas, complicating the chances of an agreement being reached.

But while he was remarkably forthright in his assertion that Victor Valdes will leave United this summer, Van Gaal was less open to discussing the futures of two of his most high-profile assets. Real Madrid have been told a move must be set in motion by Monday or the Spaniard will be staying put.

Manchester United have reportedly made a fresh €45million bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, as they continue their efforts to land the Spain centre-back. This period when players have to go or not have to go is the most hard time.

Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has emerged as Manchester United’s primary target to replace David de Gea, should he leave the club this summer, as per the Daily Mail. Real were never likely to agree to a pair of big transfers on the cheap, even if one benefited them.

“For now he’s a member of Manchester United“.
