The remaster includes all of the original voice recordings and over 10,000 repainted frames and backgrounds, all of which were done in the same cartoon style of the original DOTT. The game features an HD do-over of the graphics and audio, giving gamers a high-definition experience from this classic point-and-click sequel that came out after Schafer’s previous LucasArts outing, Maniac Mansion.

Day of the Tentacle was also noteworthy as a title for its inclusion of its prequel as an entirely playable game within the game.

“It’s just really nice to revisit them and to remember those games and what was good about them and learn from them again”. Is Maniac Mansion itself fully remastered? But I believe that the original creators should do the remasters. We wanted the way you play the game to be as customizable as we could make it, so you can pick the way you want to play. In the original it was possible to choose three different characters, each one having their own unique abilities and skills – although Bernard was always a must to have on the team.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered is slated for release across PlayStation 4, PS Vita, PC, and Mac in early 2016.

The remastered version of “Day of the Tentacle” was announced a while back, and the screenshots from the official Double Fine website offer a first look at the remastered version of the game. “I grabbed the stiffy disk version, because in 1993 I didn’t have a CD-Rom yet, so went home, and installed the game from the 6 included 3.5” disks.
