The new Pixel Phone by Google, is indeed very impressive, and looks to be on top of the smartphone ladder and beat out Samsung’s S and Note series, as well as Apple’s iPhone. A key feature for the new devices is “Google Assistant”, a smart service similar to Apple’s Siri. Google says it is 30 percent lighter than similar devices and created to fit over eyeglasses. “Our goal is to build a personal Google for everyone”. “With Pixel, we obsessed over every detail, from the industrial design to the user experience”.
In the United States, the phone will be available through Verizon.
Apple and Samsung dominate the smartphone market in the USA, combining to account for almost all profits generated from smartphone sales each quarter. So how excited are you for your pixel phones?
The Pixel handsets succeed the Google Nexus handsets and are considered the company’s first handsets.
Launching the product at an event yesterday, Google referenced the Apple iPhone’s “storage full” notification, a common sight on the screens of users.
However, Google may find it challenging to gain market share, analyst Patrick Moorhead of Moor Insights & Strategy said.
