DC movies are more mythic than Marvel: Ben Affleck
The Dark Knight will be returning in a solo Batman movie written and directed by Ben Affleck.

Warner Bros. executives have confirmed that a sequel to the “Man of Steel” is on the pipeline and it will likely be shown on some point before 2020, Screenrant reports. However, Snyder told Entertainment Weekly that he stands by his approach, as does Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck.
Early rumors suggested that there was little to nothing personal about Batman’s problem with Superman; rather, reports claimed that Batman just felt it was a risky, slippery slope for a almost omnipotent being to lord his power over normal citizens, which fit into the “false gods” theme we’ve heard so much about.
The Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 hasn’t even started yet, but already one of the biggest announcements of the entire weekend has made its way to the general public. 2018 has been the rumored release window for a stand alone Batman feature film. Johns is known for his contributions to a bunch of different comic book series including Green Lantern, Aquaman, Batman, Justice League, The Flash and Superman.
Word is that apparently Affleck and Johns are “in sync” now, working on the script in order for Affleck to be able to move on to directing Live By Night at the end of the year.
With the photos releasing, it gives you a better look at what you can expect from the movie. “Once we have a more expansive universe we can delve more into the character of Superman and hopefully tell more stories”. In the film, Jesse Eisenberg plays Lex Luthor, the grand-daddy of all Man of Steel villains and one that was always meant to make an appearance.
The actor also sheds more light on what motivates Batman’s attack on Superman and dark world view.
It remains to be seen, however, whether the new film will continue the direction set forth by Nolan’s series – or have any connection whatsoever.
